TKDSOE Gains a British Champion

On Saturday 16th October TKDSOE entered The UK Chung Do Kwan British invitational Championships 2010 which was held at Keynsham Leisure Centre in Bristol.

Lewis Cunnington, black stripe students who has been training over 3 years enter two categories for the event.

Patterns division was first on the agenda which he had fierce competition from with competitors from England and Wales in this senior category.

Lewis did a seamless performance and took 1st place out scoring 2nd and 3rd place by a clear 3 point lead.

Later that day in step in to the point division sparring which this was going to be a grudge match. Only last year Lewis faced defeat from the same opponents he was to meet this year. Under the guidance from Russell Perks, his chief instructor, Lewis overwhelmed both opponents and took yet again another 1st place victory gaining him the position of two times British Champ.

Lewis along with many other fighters from Tae Kwon Do Schools of Excellence lead the way for many up and coming fighters and they look forward to more of the same with a trip to Athens in February and many other UK tournaments in 2010 and 2011.
